Case:- A Woman was admitted in hospital for second delivery. she had CS during first delivery. The doctor counseled Woman for normal vaginal delivery. Induction was started after 2 days of admission. After rupture of membrane, the doctor asked Woman to push pressure down. Prolonged waiting resulted in the development of complications, convulsions, and death of Woman but the infant was saved. Complaints were filed for negligence.
Gynecologist version:- she was not aware of first delivery by CS. She said that CS was performed but anesthetist she named denied to be the part of the surgical team. Observations of the Inquiry Committee:- False statement of doing CS, not aware of first delivery by CS prolonged waiting to cause the death of Woman.
