A 60 yr old patient living in Ghaziabad c/0 fever for 1 month.fever is continuous with chills and rigors f/b profuse sweating, 1 month ago he returned from his village in bareilly. There were two episodes of haemoptysis, sputum microscopy for AFB was neg. PET and CECT , lung biopsy revealed poorly diff squamous cell lung carcinoma. He was given ciplox by a local doctor.There was no hepatosplenomegaly. PS for MP was ordered.
CBC revealed lymphopenia, there was lower abdomen pain, dark coloured urine. The patient is v. poor.as our palliative care team went, the max. we could ask them to do was PS for MP and Blood culture, reports awaited.....kindly suggest the work up of the patient......
