This video demonstrates some vital steps of central neck dissection (CND) for a patient with thyroid cancer. The boundaries of CND include internal jugular veins on either side (or carotid sheaths), the hyoid bone above and the supra-sternal notch below clearing the complete nodal basin along the recurrent laryngeal nerves, carotid sheaths, pre-tracheal and para-tracheal lymph nodes.

The dissection proceeds along the holy planes of the neck, slowly and meticulously maintaining a bloodless field.
