In my routine antibiogram, the sensitivity of fosfomycin is almost equal to that of carbapenems for urinary isolates. So I had started using Cards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing routinely for all urinary isolates.

But some people are in the view that for the patients who are admitted and already have IV line carbapenems are a better option, I should use Cards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing for them. So, I want to know which antibiotic is preferred if the patient is admitted and have an IV line and his UTI causing bacteria is sensitive to only fosfomycin and carbapenems.
