A 24-yr-old primi with 8 months of amenorrhea with uneventful till date. Basic inv. and USG normal. She comes with a complaint of cough and fever which was relieved with medication 2 weeks back. I gave her PCM and cough syrup and nebulisation. Today again she came with a complaint of diarrhoea..and then I noticed her voice which was same as 2 weeks back.
I took her detailed history of which she told me that she is suffering from a cough for 2 months and since then her voice is changed. She took medication with another doctor for which she had many cough syrups. She got a good response from my prescribed drugs so she took herself from drug store without consulting still she is taken cough syrup (bromhexine). She also says she got once a bout of blood with a cough once. What is the diagnoses and treatment plan? I corrected her diarrhoea for today and prescribed her azithromycin for 5 days…
