Chronic kidney disease (CKD), with its high prevalence, is linked to adverse health consequences. Furthermore, it is a public health concern as it affects roughly 13.4% of the population worldwide and results in the death of over 1.2 million people each year. Therefore, early identification of CKD to enhance outcomes is necessary, especially in low- and middle-income countries where renal replacement is typically unavailable or is costly. Early detection of CKD is also required to address the underlying cause and avoid end-stage renal failure.
