World sight day is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. In this awareness, community-based ophthalmology drives are carried out as a health-management approach in preventing eye diseases, lowering eye morbidity rates, and promoting eye health through active community participation at the ground level to identify causes of ocular morbidity.
