Tooth discoloration happens for various reasons, and it falls into three categories: Extrinsic, intrinsic, and age-related. The various treatment modalities for the esthetic correction of discolored teeth include bleaching, microabrasion, veneers, resin infiltration, and full crowns. So far, the conservative power bleaching treatment has provided satisfactory results. Moreover, the combination of enamel microabrasion, bleaching, and resin infiltration technique can be used for severely discolored teeth patients. Successful discoloration needs an accurate diagnosis and an understanding of the effectiveness and limitations of each treatment selected.
