The following cases seen recently within three months made a conclusion regarding the updating of medical professionals urgently regarding CAHD and AMI management. 1.An ECG which is technically not taken well with serrations in a suburban centre nursing home , which later proved to be normal and the patient was treated with heparin as a case of AMI and also anti platelets.But all investigations showed no possibility of CAHD and that too in a below 40 years lady.This case was treated by an M.D( Gen Med). All the drugs were withdrawn.Original ECG did not contain changes in spite of serrations in graph. 2.
A male of 38 years with typical STEMI in ECG was treated as an outpatient with heparin by a cardiologist and later CAG proved need for PTCA. Fortunately patient in spite of not admitted had no major complications. 3.A male of 39 years underwent CAG and advised PTCA to RCA which…
