Head of the Department (HODs) in all fields like Medical, Engineering, etc should have strict criteria. Highest degree in that field: PhD, M.Mch, M.Phil, from reputed Institutions (not disreputed fake universities). Highest number of scientific papers published in standard journals, Conferences etc. Extensive work experience + Teaching interest in their fietc.- irrespective of years of experience.
Years of service, Date of joining etc unnecessary criteria should be removed -- only the best in the field should become HODs/ Professors/ Associate Professors/ Assistant Professors. Strictly NO Reservations in Promotions/Jobs. Only best shud teach. Share your opinion.
