As per WHO, COVID-19 may enter an endemic stage in India due to the vast vaccination drives and controlled morbidity. Despite the mutations in the virus, fewer new cases are being detected. However, with the decline in incidence rates and vaccination drives, there is an increase in social mixing, with an observed reluctance in COVID appropriate behavior at the individual level. This could lead to adverse implications if left unchecked.
