A 28 years old woman was admitted in hospital with pain abdomen in 32 weeks of her pregnancy. She was examined, her BP was 156/102 mmHg. Medical treatment was given as per the advice of the doctor. Patient has difficulty in breathing. Oxygen was administered. Attendants suddenly noticed deterioration in the patient's condition and no delivery of oxygen.
Ward sister was called who asked the ward boy to bring filled cylinder which took some time and in the meantime patient died. The charge of medical negligence was made against the hospital and doctor. Doctor on other hands blamed a sudden rise in BP as the cause of death. What is your opinion? Is it negligence?
