A 40-year-old woman from the Republic of Congo with nearly 15 years of infertility underwent an open myomectomy at Apollo Spectra Hospital in Delhi, where surgeons removed 13 uterine fibroids while preserving the uterus. The patient had presented with excessive and prolonged menstrual bleeding, abdominal pain, and severe anemia. She had previously undergone IVF treatment along with medications and injections in her home country without achieving pregnancy. Her condition deteriorated further after she developed continuous bleeding for nearly 20 days accompanied by fever, prompting her to seek treatment in India.
