A 62 years male, diabetic since 20 years, On Human mixtard Insulin therapy.Sugar well control till last 2 months.Have numbness feet and lower legs. May be due to diabetic neuropathy. Patient kept hot water bottle overnight in January winter to keep foot warm due to numbness feet patient feet burns. Had taken oral antibiotics. Didn't improved.Now fasting sugar is 140 & pp 168. Right foot develop ulcer at medial side base of great toe.foul smelling but no discharge. Can he dip his feet in Potassium permagnate solution, then wash with hydrogen peroxide.
Remove dead skin and then liquid betadine dressing daily.will attach fresh pic of open wound when patients comes.
