Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death worldwide, claiming 18.6 million lives per year. COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for people with CVD, as it can worsen underlying CVD and even precipitate de novo cardiac complications. During these times, telemedicine has become a promising option for patients with CVD who need continuous monitoring at home or in remote health care facilities. In addition, the pandemic has also hampered the practical training and skills-development sessions for interns and medical practitioners to prevent and control CVD.
