Many general practitioners do conduct medical MTPs & some even surgical MTPs themselves at unregistered MTP centres quite openly & fearlessly because govt carries out regular inspections of the registered MTP centres only & they are never touched. Is it legal if a qualified gynaecologist or nursing home, which has registered MTP centre, stores and issues MTP kits to his patients directly and maintains proper record, instead of prescribing it as most medical stores don't keep the MTP kits at all for the fear of strict record maintenance & timely submissions, FDA inspections & prosecution even for minor mistakes?
