Delhi Police have arrested a 39-year-old MBBS doctor from Faridabad in connection with an alleged network involved in the distribution of counterfeit, smuggled, and unapproved anti-cancer medicines across the Delhi-NCR region. The investigation reportedly began after police received information on April 21 about suspected supplies of fake anti-cancer and other life-saving medicines to clinics in Delhi. The case gained traction when a doctor searching for a leukemia medicine reportedly came across the accused while looking for a supplier.

According to police, the accused allegedly sourced counterfeit medicines from Turkey and marketed them through a pharmaceutical firm registered in his name.
