Last month, 6 doctors were arrested in West Bengal with fake medical certificates. In continuation to that, one more fake doctor arrested in Howrah and over 500 medical practitioners are under scanner. Fake doctors are present in sizable numbers in government and private hospitals all over the state. The officials said that they have an information that around seven to eight fake institutes in the state are involved in the business apart from other such establishments in neighbouring states.
State Medical Council president said that they had a list which would be handed over to the police. The CID has already arrested six fake doctors from various parts of the state who were attached to two renowned private hospitals in the metropolis.
