American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), in their new report The Power of Play , recommends doctors to prescribe children to play every day. AAP suggests that playing is a critical part in children’s intellectual, social and physical development, and helps in reducing stress. Expert pediatricians in the field opine that formally writing the prescription gives more weight to the recommendation to play.
