For imparting easy access to patients, doctors sometimes communicate through online sources. While communicating, they frequently have to reveal their information like numbers and other communicating modules. But many times, this advantage is unduly used by quacks who claim to be doctors with fake qualifications and degrees thereby procuring huge payments from patients. Through such incidents, the medical fraternity is left ashamed.

Recently, the Tamil Nadu Medical Council issued a notice through which no doctors will be allowed to advertise online and if violated they will have to face serious altercations. The decision was taken after 300 doctors had advertised online and were found unduly promoting their practice.
