In India, breast cancer is the most common cancer in urban women. The majority of breast cancers are diagnosed at a relatively advanced stage. According to the Union Health Ministry, India accounts for 25.8 per 1,00,000 breast cancer incidence and 12.7 per 100,000 of mortality rate. Due to certain reasons mainly the access to healthcare programmes and screening programmes and sometimes ignorance leads to high incidence of cancer.

While it is found that approximately 50% of women die due to late diagnosis. Early detection of cancer using different techniques like mammography, MRI- where women have a higher risk of cancer, could pave the way for managing breast cancer cases.
