Highlights ·        Dry eye is a common ocular condition with a female gender predilection. ·        Because estrogen and progesterone hormones may influence central corneal thickness, corneal curvature, and the development of dry eyes in postmenopausal women, there is an unmet need to evaluate dry eyes in elderly females.
