Currently, 2.1 million People in India are living with HIV. Significant psychiatric changes occur in HIV patients besides immunological, neurological and overall pathological changes. This article reviews psychiatric manifestations in HIV seropositive patients and efficacy of the available clinical management strategies. Patients seropositive for HIV are at increased risk of developing psychiatric symptoms compared to general population.
