In a heavy ICU with 25-30 beds, where the a bed occupancy is of 100 percent we see alteast 1-2 cases per month who take LAMA (leave against medical advice ) and patient dies, collapses on way to other hospital or home. These are such few patients who after receiving all treatment as per protocols set and even after cross consultation with intensivists of other hospitals fall nowhere, medical knowledge, medical treatment goes blind in front of nature's decision. Family members have spent already there months off duty, serving the patients and are financially getting poorer day by day.
Unlike west we have no such protocol set for end of life in ICU by doctor, patient's family members. There is no such committee in hospital who sits with family and a legal advisor to solve problem of such patient and his/her family members. I need your sincere suggestions over this matter, if any state law…
