Endometriosis is the presence of endometriotic glands and storma outside the endometriotic cavity. The symptom of endometriosis range from mild pain, dysmenorrhoea, dyspareunia, infertility to distressing chronic pelvic pain. It is far more common in infertile female population and about 25 to 50 % of infertile female have endometriosis. 30-50 % of women having endometriosis suffer from infertility. The exact mechanism how the endometriosis results in infertility is still not clearly understood, though various theories have been proposed.
