Ertugliflozin, a sodium/glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor has been approved by FDA for glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Ertugliflozin has been approved as monotherapy (5-mg and 15-mg tablets) to be taken once daily.
Ertugliflozin is the fourth SGLT2 inhibitor after Canagliflozin, Dapagliflozin and Empagliflozin.
