The evidence on e-learning, including mobile phone-based or “m-learning”, has grown significantly in the COVID-19 era, with specific emphasis on medical communication. Given the relevance of orthopedic information for general practitioners and the short period of the orthopedic internship at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), researchers created “Orthobox”, a smartphone-based orthopedic educational application, and studied its influence on students overall skills and knowledge.
