I have got two doctors case history. One was a Cardiothoracic surgeon my MBBS classmate,at the age of 63 years suddenly developed tiredness while planning to enter OT for a cardiac surgey.Asked for a coffee and collapsed within minutes.Taken to Cath lab immediately but not possible to do any further work up. Possible reason noted was LMCA block. Recently a Neuro surgeon of roughly 67 years my senior by three years,who was in the OPD and became tired and told the people that he was going for rest at 11.00 AM.
No check up was undertaken in spite of availability of doctors in the place.By 1.30 PM he was found dead. Nothing further could be done. These two cases point to possible sudden death due to massive cardiac arrest due to LMCA lesion. So, this is a pointer towards possible symptom in LMCA occlusion and whenever a person who is a possible candidate for CAHD when complaining…
