Recently the Gujarat Medical Council (GMC) issued an advisory for all the registered doctors warning them to be careful and cautious while indulging in advertising. Further, the doctors were warned to stay within the ethical boundaries while doing the same. The advisory also stated that failure to follow the guidelines will result in serious consequence with doctors even getting evicted from the council. The advisory came into light when various corporate hospitals were using doctors and their skills for advertising and marketing purposes in various mediums.
So adversary has asked the doctors to be extremely careful without violating the ethical codes for advertising.
