The Government of Maharashtra has announced free chemotherapy units in 10 of its district hospitals. According to the officials, the first phase of the plan execution will start in June. This move was taken to reduce the load of the patients at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.

It has been reported that the medicines required to start the chemotherapy units in district hospitals have already been procured from the Mumbai-based hospital.
