A Madhya Pradesh woman has accused a government hospital of stealing the baby from her womb after she woke up on Wednesday morning from anesthesia to be told by doctors that she either had a phantom pregnancy or must have dropped the infant before she reached the facility on Tuesday. Hoshangabad district collector has ordered an inquiry into the matter. A female, 23, claims, she was in her eight months of pregnancy when she was rushed to a community health centre (CHC) of Suhagpur area in Hoshangabad district with abdominal pain and blood loss.
"CHC officials referred us to district hospital in Hoshangabad claiming that it was a complicated case of pregnancy and has to be operated upon for a safe delivery," her husband, a farmer told on phone.
