A Global Disease Burden Report which evaluated the cardiovascular disease(CVD) revealed that CVD is the leading cause of death in India and accounts for 1.7 million deaths in 2016. It is evident that CVDs are characterized by narrowing or blocking of blood vessels that can lead to heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest. However, there is a less evidence for the awareness about the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) which can lower the risk of cardiac death.
