People with the condition may bleed more severely or for a longer time following an injury. There are two main modes of therapy for haemophilia patients which are either to stop bleeding (on-demand) or to infuse clotting factors to prevent bleeds (prophylaxis). Outcomes of both these therapies may depend on several factors.
