The Gujarat High Court has declined to grant relief to a gynecologist from Idar in Sabarkantha district whose registration was suspended under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act following a sting operation. The court also upheld the sealing of three sonography machines at the practitioner’s facility, citing strict statutory violations. The case stems from events on February 18, 2025, when the District Appropriate Authority conducted a decoy operation alleging that the doctor demanded Rs 25,000 to disclose fetal sex.

On the same day, authorities sealed all ultrasound machines and seized Form F records, statutory registers, OPD entries, CCTV footage, and Form B.
