A homeopath practicing in Dakor town of Ahmedabad had to shell out Rs 2 lakh in an out-of-court settlement with a patient for practicing allopathic medicine. As per the investigation, the practicing homeopath allegedly administered an intramuscular injection to a 65-year-old lady and prescribed her allopathic medicines following which her condition worsened. She consulted another doctor, who told the patient that the trouble had occurred due to the injection that the homeopath had given. The patient approached the homeopath for a settlement, but the doctor did not pay any heed.

She asked the homeopath for case papers, but there were no such documents. The patient’s family then moved to HC for a FIR against the doctor.
