A lot of times during my practice, I come across many patients who simply come with problems of inattention like not remembering day-to-day schedule, losing things, not able to follow through conversations, absent-minded etc. There is no associated hyperactivity objectively or subjectively but as times they do complain of fleeting anxiety. There are no symptoms of clinical depression or anxiety disorders.
Is a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder warranted in such cases? What is the appropriate management?
