Surrogacy Act 2021 is now implemented from 25th Jan 2022. Salient features of Surrogacy: 1. Commercial surrogacy is not allowed. Only Altruistic surrogacy allowed in which only medical expenses and such other prescribed expenses incurred on surrogate mother and the insurance coverage of 36 months for the surrogate mother, are given to the surrogate mother or her dependents or her representative. 2.
