A 64-year-old man visited a doctor complaining about increased weight. He gained 8 kg of weight in the past 6 months. He constantly felt hungry, depressed and waked up early in the morning. He had a sign of bruising skin and find difficult to get up from his armchair or to climbing stairs. History The patient had asthma for which he was taking corticosteroids medications. He had no history of previous psychiatric illnesses. Social history The patient was smoker and drank alcohol.
Examination The patient was overweight, particularly in the abdominal region and had purple stretch marks on his abdomen and thighs. His pulse rate was 76/min and blood pressure was 168/104 mmHg.
