Old age, disability and mental deterioration of parents of either partner are causing additional burden on nuclear families more so when both of them are working. Usually, no help is available even when offered decent remuneration. Here I would like to share about a particular case where an elderly lady, 87 yrs old was admitted thrice in the hospital during the last 1 year for 29, 09 and 12 days respectively. During this period no one ever came to see her or enquired on the telephone regarding the progress. Only, concern was, that how long we can keep her in the hospital.
What I could make out, that her family members actually want a break from the same monotonous routine of domestic care! What is in store for all of us?
