Hyperbaric medicine is a therapy technique that uses 100% oxygen at atmospheric pressures greater than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA), which is more than the sea level. In this therapy, the patient inhales oxygen at 2 to 3 ATA for the specified duration in either a mono-place or multi-place pressured chamber. The goal of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is to raise the hydrostatic and partial pressure of the available oxygen, which can be useful in treating various diseases. Prof.
(Dr.) Tarun Kumar Sahni, Dr. K.M. Pradeoth, and Dr. Prashant Varkey , who have been practicing hyperbaric oxygen therapy in their respective fields, will share their knowledge and experience with us on 22nd November 2021, 6:00 PM onwards.
