Minister of State for Health Shri Ashwani KR Chouwbey informed the parliament that ICMR has developed An Injectable Male Contraceptive which is being described as RISUG (Reversible Inhibition of sperm under guidance).This is also the world’s first injectable male contraceptive.ICMR  has sent it  to the Drug Control General of India (DCGI) for regulatory approvals and is expected to soon hit the market after approval of the authorities. “Clinical trials of injectable male contraceptive- Reversible Inhibition of sperm under guidance (RISUG) have been completed successfully by ICMR." as per  MOS Health.
