The current treatment of appendicitis is surgical resection with the use of appropriate antibiotics. However, it is important to identify the microorganisms of acute appendicitis and evaluate effective antibiotics for them. Through this study, it can be concluded that E. coli and P. aeruginosa are the main microbes associated with appendicitis and the use of empirical antibiotics seems to be safe in such cases.
