Case presentation A 27-year-old woman with 28 weeks of singleton pregnancy presented to the hospital with complaints of pain in her right leg and swelling. History Thalassemia trait with a history of two-unit blood transfusion. Examination Physical examination revealed pale skin with edema in her right leg. Laboratory Investigations Hb: 6 gm/dl Microcytic hypochromic anemia Color Doppler scan of lower limbs showed partial obstruction in the right iliac vein and normal flow in the right femoral and popliteal vessels. The patient was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis. What would be the most appropriate treatment for this patient suffering from deep vein thrombosis?
