I am sure we all get requests from regular patients and shoppers who come looking for "certificates". At times, periods of leave are reasonable, say 3-5 days. But today one of my one-time patient came asking for 2-months sick certificate. He even said that he has "some weakness", "loss of appetite" but no icterus.
I asked him where you took treatment? He says in rural village. Now, my question is what illnesses can justify a 2-month medical leave? Especially, illnesses which cannot be 'caught' retrospectively.
