Recently I happened to see a few episodes of two of the currently popular TV Series: “Grey’s Anatomy” and “House” Both serials had been aired abroad earlier are running into 9th or 10th seasons. But when I saw the episodes on TV, I was struck by the wrong signals the makers of the serials were sending to the lay public. Regarding the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy”, I belive it has nothing to do with Henry Grey, the author of the Textbook we read as Anatomy students. Actually the TV series  was first aired in 2005 by the American Broadcasting Company.

It is now running into season 11, illustrating how popular this particular TV serial has been all over the world. Essentially the TV series focuses on the fictional lives of surgeons, who are mostly women (contrary to what we find in reality).
