This article includes “Advanced Performance and Responsibility Guidelines for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist” that directs the senior technologist in a radiological or nuclear medicine department to develop an efficacious quality system with the safety of the patient and departmental staff. The nuclear medicine practice requires multidisciplinary skills. The responsibilities of the nuclear medicine technologist include an empathetic and instructional approach to patient care including the preparation, calibration, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals under the direction of an authorized user.
