The endothelial glycocalyx is a pericellular matrix made up of glycoproteins, proteoglycans, and glycolipids that respond to changes in blood flow and play an essential role in mechanotransduction. The venous and lymphatic systems are well interconnected, the study of which can help in better treatment prospects for lymphatic disorders. This will become more precise if glycocalyx units are spotted in human lymphatic tissues. Studies have been done to spot glycocalyx in various species, but recently, the first human identification of glycocalyx has opened new frontiers in treating vascular and lymphatic disorders.
Join us for an exclusive session with Dr. Sergio Gianesini , where he will discuss “I n Human Identification of the Lymphatic Glycocalyx: New Frontiers ” on 6 th July 2022 , 6:00 PM IST. Stay tuned for the session
