Patients who wish to seek treatment by visiting the government doctors at their homes will now have to pay more consulting charges. The Rajasthan state government is contemplating a proposal to increase their consultation charges, after a gap of six years. Due to the constant demand from doctors, the government will presumably make amendments in the medical rules in order to increase the prescription fee. After this rule is effective, the patients who visit government doctors at their residence for consultation will have to pay an increased amount.

The medical department will make recommendations in this regard to the finance department for making necessary changes in the service rules.
