The Surya Sahayadri hospital in Pune is geared to become the first Indian hospital to cater exclusively to the poor population, provided they come under the government schemes of PMJAY and MPJAY. The sky rocketing costs of medical care has made lives increasingly difficult, especially for the people below the poverty line. Though they do receive medical benefits from the government and can avail treatment at subsidized cost in larger hospitals, these facilities come with a long and tiring waitlist.
The Surya Sahyadri hospital is all set to alleviate this problem with a new hospital, the first of its kind in India, dedicated completely to the treatment of poor.
