The treatment of severe abdominal wall hernias, whether conventional or laparoscopic, is challenging. Laparoscopic hernia repair fixes tears in the abdominal wall using small incisions, telescopes, and a patch or mesh. In addition to functional restoration of the abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR), the closure of linea alba provides sufficient overlap with the mesh and prevents the destruction of intact muscles and segmental nerve innervations. However, in very large hernia defects, this procedure has its limitations. Docplexus , together with the IAGES , has organized the re-run for the exclusive sessions held at the INDO-UK SURGICON Day 2 2020.

The first week of these sessions will cover the critical surgical aspects of “ Hernia ”. The 4 th session brings to you a debate between the experts in hernia on 4 th February 2021, 6:00 PM onwards . Stay tuned for the debate! Speaker details:…
